Thanks to the Leos who worked the pancake breakfast on May 10. You turned out in great numbers and helped the Barboursville Lions Club have a successful project to support student scholarships at Cabell Midland.

TERESA JOHNSON MEMORIAL STRIDES WALK FOR DIABETES AWARENESS

Four Leos from our club raised money and walked during the West Virginia Lions State Convention at Pullman Square in Huntington on April 26. You will see them in their Leo shirts below.

Four of our members walked with four Leos from Barboursville Middle School in the Strides Walk for Diabetes Awareness. They are shown here beside the West Virginia Lions Mobile Sight Van at the Pullman Square Plaza Hotel in Huntington. We plan to walk again next year in Charleston. Make your plans to walk on April 25, 2009.

Activities :

Planned activities include collecting glasses,conducting a food drive for Christmas, walking to support the Teresa Johnson Memorial Walk for Diabetes Awareness to help send kids to Camp Knokoma. The club will also help promote recycling of inkjet and lazer ink cartridges and cell phones at Cabell Midland High School for the Barboursville Lions Club.

Club members participated in helping make apple butter for their sponsoring club, the Barboursville Lions Club.
